Down Comforters?

Down bedding is a yes!

It's extremely comfy, and can be light in the summer or warm in the winter. There are different fills, and it's important to get the right one; If you're looking for an all season comforter, I would go with a lighter fill.

You will feel like you are sleeping in a cloud and you won't regret it.

Also, a down mattress topper, say a pillow top mattress will make all the difference if you like soft bedding.

Amazingly, down feathers will stay cool, but it all depends on the fill! Make sure you get a duvet in a color you like to cover and protect it from getting dirty, and you will only need to wash the Duvet as needed.
